NJ Dual License Renewal 1-Hour CE Class
NJ Approved 1-Hour HVACR Law CE Add-On Course for Dual License Renewal.
CE Class for Dual License Renewal
For contractors holding both a New Jersey Master Plumber and Master HVACR license, the State provides a path to maintain both credentials. Under N.J.A.C. 13:32A-4.4, dual license holders are not required to take two entirely separate five-hour continuing education courses. The state allows four hours of your primary 5-hour class to overlap. This means you only need to complete a single hour of HVACR-specific statutes and rules to fulfill the educational requirement for your secondary license.
Our 1-Hour HVACR Law CE course fulfills this exact mandate. Built as an add-on to our 5-Hour NJ Plumbing License Renewal class, this session covers the legal updates required by the State Board of Examiners of Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) Contractors. By taking this one extra hour, you avoid sitting through another full class and can knock out both state renewals at the exact same time.
The Training Center is an NJ HVACR Board & Plumbing Board Approved CE Sponsor & Instructor: Lou Babecki (Sponsor #000078) and Rob Roy (Sponsor# 19SP00029700)

Plumbing License Renewal Requirements
To maintain active status for both credentials, dual licensees must meet the joint compliance conditions established by the Division of Consumer Affairs. Under New Jersey regulation N.J.A.C. 13:32A-4.4, the state mandates a total of 6 hours of continuing education for dual renewal.
Please note: You cannot renew both licenses using this 1-hour class alone. To legally satisfy your state mandates, you must first complete our 5-hour New Jersey plumbing continuing education class, and then use this 1-hour add-on class to fulfill the mandates for HVACR. You are legally required to retain the official certificates of completion for both the 5-hour plumbing class and the 1-hour HVACR add-on class for a period of four years to satisfy potential audits from both state board audits.
-
If you do not hold an active HVACR registration, you do not need this 1-hour add-on course. Master Plumbers who only hold a single license are required by the state to complete a full 5-hour trade compliance course. Please visit our NJ Plumbing License Renewal page to select your class date and format.
If you’re just beginning your career and need the hands-on education to start your path, our Plumbing Training Program is designed to teach you the foundational skills needed to enter the trade and begin your apprenticeship journey toward becoming a licensed Master Plumber.
-
If you do not hold an active plumbing license, this 1-hour law class will not satisfy your renewal mandates. Licensed HVACR contractors must complete a full 5-hour continuing education program approved specifically by the HVACR Board. Please visit our NJ HVAC License Renewal class page to view available schedules.
