We are an accredited, state-approved refrigeration school, meeting all New Jersey requirements. Our online classes give students the flexibility to prepare on their own schedule. We cover all levels of refrigeration licensing, including Blue, Red, and Gold Seal licenses, delivering the training needed to help you get licensed and advance in your career.
NJ Refrigeration License Requirements
Blue Seal 2-C License (Refrigeration Engineer)
To qualify for a NJ Blue Seal Refrigeration 2-C License, the rules depend on whether you work with toxic or non-toxic refrigerants. A 2-C toxic license is required for systems using flammable or toxic refrigerants (such as R-123 or R-717) with a plant capacity of 24 to 65 tons. A 2-C non-toxic license is not required, but may be obtained with six months of experience in a plant of at least 250 tons capacity using refrigerants like R-11, R-12, R-22, or R-134A.
