High School Programs

TradeReady is our Career & Technical Education (CTE) program designed specifically for high school students interested in entering the skilled trades. More than just a basic introduction, these courses equip students with hands-on skills, allowing them to explore multiple vocational paths before committing to a career. Through a structured blend of live shop training, simulators, and interactive lessons, students gain a strong foundation across multiple trades. The curriculum is available either as a direct CTE partnership for high schools or as an accelerated, independent bootcamp for individual students.

Why The Training Center?

“This place is a hidden gem. From day one it has been a huge learning experience from the flexible scheduling, to how you have everything you need from the online setup. Super informative and you actually really learn here. Better than those Lincoln Tech programs.”

Marco Martinez

“The Training Center has an excellent handle on what they are doing. I learned more in a week about electrical and HVAC than I have in my entire life. Rob gives perfect instruction and gives you an opportunity to figure things out instead of just giving you the correct answer. The experience and learning is 10/10.”

Jared Spellman

“Great school with interactive teaching and wonderful flexibility. Their career development program is one of a kind and has really worked wonders for myself. I was able to obtain my high pressure black seal and start a new job at a cogeneration plant within a year.”

Anthony Bianchi

“It was an amazing experience. I came in knowing nothing and The Training Center helped so much. I actually wanted to come back every time. It was better than the traditional trade schools in the way that there were so many instructors it made it easy to ask questions and learn the equipment and how it works.”

Cormac Benson

“My son had the pleasure of receiving his HVAC training at the Training Center. He was very pleased with the knowledge and skill set of the staff. He was a person of no background at all but now he has truly excelled. Thanks to the staff at The Training Center for creating a great path in life for my son.”

Yes. The Training Center is an officially approved by both the New Jersey Department of Labor & Workforce Development and the New Jersey Department of Education. Additionally, as an IACET Accredited Provider, we offer IACET CEUs for its learning events that comply with the ANSI/IACET Continuing Education and Training Standard.

How long does it take to complete trade school?

Most of our programs can be completed in months, not years. To fit your schedule, we offer flexible learning formats, including day and night classes, as well as some hybrid options that mix online learning with hands-on labs.

How does The Training Center compare to other trade schools like Lincoln Tech, UTI, Pennco, or Fortis?

At The Training Center, we’re different from larger schools such as Lincoln Tech, UTI, Pennco Tech, and Fortis Institute because we focus on affordability, smaller class sizes, more hands-on learning, and getting our students more field-ready. While many of these schools are well known, their programs cost more and have higher student-to-teacher ratios.

How is trade school different from community college?

Trade schools like The Training Center focus strictly on hands-on, career-ready technical skills to get you into the field faster, while community colleges often require unrelated general education courses and take years to complete.

Do I need experience to enroll in trade school?

No experience is required. Our programs are designed for beginners and career changers, with step-by-step training that prepares you for certification and employment.
