Nevada CPO Certification Overview
The CPO Certification in Nevada is widely used to meet operator qualification requirements for public and semipublic aquatic facilities. Nevada regulates pools and spas through the Nevada Administrative Code NAC 444, which establishes statewide standards for water quality, disinfection, safety, and daily operational compliance. State rules require every public pool and spa to be overseen by a qualified operator. CPO Certification is the primary credential Nevada facilities use to meet this requirement.
In Clark County, including Las Vegas, Henderson, Paradise, and major resort properties, compliance is enforced by the Southern Nevada Health District Aquatic Program. Local regulations require onsite operator documentation, water testing logs, and verified knowledge of NAC 444. CPO Certification provides the technical training needed to meet both state and county expectations.
The Training Center’s CPO Certification Course is approved by PHTA and recognized across Nevada as an accepted educational program for pool operator training. Whether you manage a resort on the Las Vegas Strip, a hotel in Reno, a community pool in Sparks, or a municipal facility in Carson City, earning your CPO credential ensures you meet Nevada’s regulatory and operational standards.

Las Vegas CPO Certification Requirements
Pool operations in Las Vegas are regulated under NAC 444, but enforcement is handled locally through the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD). The district requires facilities to maintain on-site operator records, updated water chemistry logs, and verified proof of training in Nevada’s public pool regulations. In Las Vegas, CPO Certification is the preferred and most commonly used training standard for pool operator qualification.
